Fine dining options abound, and many are within walking distance, even if you're wearing heels! Dudley's, Portofino and Bellini's are some of our favorites. A la lucie's is another, though as part of the historic Downtown Restaurant District, it's a bit more of a hike. Check out http://www.visitlex.com/quick/dining.html for Lexington restaurants by categories.

Lunch
The food court at The Shops at Lexington Center offers a variety of casual eateries that you'll find oh-so-handy for lunch. We're scheduling extra time for lunch breaks, so feel free to venture beyond the Lexington Center complex to any of Lexington's many luncheon destinations—Joe Bologna's, for example. If convenience is what you're after, however, you've got A & W, Arby's, Mo' Joe's Café, Mr. Kan's Chinese, Subway and Yesterdays Bar and Grille, all in the food court just steps away from your meeting rooms.

Transportation
Your arrival and departure will be easy. Lexington is within a day’s drive of 75% of the country's population. If you prefer to fly, Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport, with approximately 100 direct and non-stop flights, is only a 10-minute drive (and the Hyatt provides a free shuttle). For even more flying options, consider the Cincinnati and Louisville airports, each each less than an hour-and-a-half’s drive.

You won't need a car to have a great conference experience, but if you decide to bring yours or rent one to venture beyond downtown, you'll appreciate the Hyatt's free parking policy. Blue Grass Airport is home to most major rental car companies.

Welcome Back to Our Hometown

Lexington has a special charm in any season, but fall is definitely our favorite time of year. The air is crisp, the sky is brilliant, foliage is close to its peak and central Kentuckians seem to take special delight in decorating for the season. Your drive through the countryside should include a stop at one of our local orchards for a slice of fresh apple or pumpkin pie or some hot apple cider—yum!

Shopping and Dining
If shopping is on your agenda, you’re in luck. The Hyatt’s lobby is attached to The Shops at Lexington Center, an array of unique specialty stores where you’ll find everything from fine chocolate to exquisite one-of-a-kind jewelry, hand-crafted works of art, sporting memorabilia and more.

Just across the street from the Hyatt, and attached by pedway, is Victorian Square, a unique collection of shops, galleries and restaurants housed in a block of beautifully-restored buildings. The Shops at Lexington Center and the Victorian Square Shoppes both have limited evening shopping hours, but they are close enough to check out after your last training session of the day.

For shopping later in the evening, try the recently-expanded and ever-popular Fayette Mall, just a few miles south of downtown, or Hamburg Place, a bustling development on the eastern side of Lexington. Both destinations include shops galore, food for any taste or budget and modern movie houses.
